- SYC 2020 ONLINE-
AUGUST 28 @ 7PM
What is SYC?
S.Y.C. stands for "Summer Youth Celebration" and it is a week long camp for youths who have completed Gr. 7 to Gr. 12. The week includes interactive small groups, lots of recreation activities, exciting worship, Bible teaching and creative arts!
WhEN & Where
SYC happens at the end of the summer season. Due to this year's unusual situation with COVID-19, we will be meeting online via teleconferencing platforms. The SYC evening is scheduled to be Sunday, August 28th.
Because of the changes to the event, SYC 2020 will be free for anyone who wishes to attend. We still encourage everyone to RSVP before August 28 so we can have a gauge on numbers.
SYC 2020 Theme:
During the past half a year, God has opened our eyes to many physical, social and spiritual realities. It is our hope that through SYC this year, we would have opportunities to continue conversations about Biblical justice, mercy and humility and be reminded of who we are called to be as followers of Christ in this lost and broken world.
This Year's Theme Verses
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, - Ephesians 1:18-20
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. - Micah 6:8
"I still remember crying two years ago because I didn't want to go to SYC. Little did I know that week would be amazing and rekindle my relationship with God. Wouldn't trade that for anything, and SYC this year (2017) would easily be the highlight of my summer!"

"Syc provides a safe space where you can open up your spiritual struggles to others and find that you are not alone. It is a place of connection, reflection, and change."
3 time SYC Leader,

"A special closeness develops when you eat together, worship together, play together and study together. We see the ripples of SYC after. During every baptism someone will say that they met God or heard his voice at SYC. These experiences have eternal impact."
