We understand that there may be concerns regarding the risks of COVID-19 for an in-person event like ours. The SYC conference will be implementing extra measures to minimize the risks of COVID-19. COVID-19 Frequent Asked Questions

1.  What are some measures that SYC will implement to reduce COVID-19 exposure risks?

We will be following the guidelines as adopted by Towers Baptist Church and Richmond Chinese Baptist Church in accordance with Step 3 of the BC Provincial Restart Plan Guidelines.  For more information you can refer to BC's COVID Reopening Safety Plan for Churches.

2.  Am I allowed to join SYC if I am not fully vaccinated?

​

Yes, we will not be asking for vaccination information.  However, we will be collecting contact information so that in case of an outbreak, there can be tracing of contacts.

​

3.  Will the conference be held indoors only?

​

While the main sessions will be held inside, we hope to have most other activities outside as much as possible and as weather permits.

​

4.  How will SYC handle safety protocols for worship with its participants?

​

We will be following provincial guidelines for indoor gatherings including but not limited to:

​

a. Allowing no more than 50% of seated operating capacity of the facility         

b. Adequate spacing between seats

c. Recommendation for wearing masks for indoor activities except for worship leaders, emcees, speakers.

d. Availability of hand sanitizers and masks for participants

5.  I understand that meals will be provided. What will be the procedures for dining at the conference?

 

We will be providing individually packaged meals that will be given to each participant and that will be eaten outside, weather permitting, or if not, in the seats set up for worship.
